Have you said to yourself, “I wonder if any other men here at BVCC play racquetball (or tennis; or jogs, or mountain bikes, etc.). We are starting lists of men interested in participating in various sports to facilitate your getting off the couch and onto becoming physically fit. This is not a commitment to play every week. It is just a help for you to get it into gear. Sign up for every sport you are interested in playing. We want you to rate yourself in each sport (i.e., beginner, intermediate, or advanced). Don’t be humble, if you are a pro, say so. We aren’t interested in out of the way sports such as underwater basket weaving, rapid remote channel changing, and cat tossing. We will publish the lists so you can schedule your own matches. If there is enough interest, we might consider setting up ladders and/or occasional tournaments. Number one is to get your spouse, boyfriend, guy you are stalking to sign up on a list. If you are interested in playing, we need a woman or two to be in charge of similar lists for women. If there is enough interest, another option we are suggesting is getting some coed sports such as slow pitch softball and volleyball teams started here at BVCC.
